Tasks (work items) are the unit of work inside a project. Each carries a status, type, priority, optional assignee, and optional dates.

Statuses

Five statuses ship by default. You can rename, recolor, reorder, or archive any of them, and add your own — Settings → Statuses. Every status belongs to a category: Todo, In Progress, In Review, or Done.
The category — not the label — is what sprint velocity, completion counts, reports, and SLA resolution all key off. If you add a status called “Shipped”, give it the Done category, or work sitting in it will look unfinished everywhere it’s counted.

Types

Settings → Types. Task, bug, and so on — each with its own icon and color, which then show on the board, the list, and task detail.

Priorities

Low, Medium, High, and Critical. Priority is worth setting deliberately if you use SLA Management: response and resolution targets are defined per priority, and automation rules can apply or remove an SLA based on it.

Organising work

Labels

Cross-cutting tags, defined per workspace under Settings → Labels.

Subtasks

Break a task down; the parent shows completed-of-total.

Dependencies

Mark a task as blocked by another — blocked work surfaces in reports and the blocker radar.

Recurrence

Repeating work spawns its next occurrence when the current one is completed or closed.

Views

Switch between list and board. Board columns follow your status order, so reordering statuses in settings reorders the board for everyone.

Comments and mentions

Comment on any task, and @mention a teammate to notify them. If the AI assistant module is on, you can mention the assistant in a thread to get an answer without leaving the task.

Deleting

Deleted tasks go to Trash rather than disappearing, so an accidental delete is recoverable.
