# Modules and plans

> Why a feature might not be visible, and how to turn it on.

Worksynk ships features as **modules**. A workspace owner or admin turns them
on under **Settings → Modules**, so you only carry the features you use.

## Two different reasons a feature is off

This trips people up, so it's worth being precise:

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Your plan doesn't include it">
    The module page shows an upgrade prompt naming the plan that includes it.
    Nothing you toggle will enable it until the plan changes.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Your plan includes it, but nobody switched it on">
    Most modules are **off by default even when your plan covers them**. The
    page tells you it just needs enabling, with a link to Modules.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

<Note>
  If a settings page looks empty, check **Settings → Modules** first — that's
  almost always the reason.
</Note>

## Roughly what sits where

Exact availability is shown on the Modules page for your workspace; this is the
shape of it.

| Tier         | Typically includes                                                                                          |
| ------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Free** | Core projects, tasks, notes, files, meetings, time tracking |
| **Startup** | Sprints, clients, client portal, AI client reporter, recurring tasks |
| **Growth** | Milestones, analytics, budgets, webhooks, GitHub, credential vault, MCP server |
| **Business** | SLA Management, AI assistant, white-label branding, custom SMTP, activity log, IP allowlist, timer security |

Paid modules can only be enabled by the workspace **owner**, since enabling one
affects what the account is billed.

## Per-project overrides

On some plans a module can be turned off for an individual project even when
it's on for the workspace — useful when one client's project shouldn't carry
time tracking or budgets.

## What happens when you turn something off

Disabling a module hides its UI and blocks its endpoints; it doesn't delete
your data. Turn it back on and your policies, budgets, or SLA configuration are
where you left them.
