# Client handoff

> Package deliverables, get confirmation, issue a certificate.

Handoff closes out a piece of work properly, so "did the client actually sign
off?" has an answer you can point at.

## The flow

    Assemble what's being handed over from the project's files and work.

  <Step title="Send a confirmation link">
    The client receives a time-boxed link — no account needed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="They confirm">
    Their confirmation is recorded against the project.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Certificate issued">
    A handoff certificate documents what was delivered and when it was
    accepted.

  The confirmation link expires. If a client comes back after it lapses, send a
  fresh one rather than extending — the time-box is what makes the record
  meaningful.
